C.M. Shri Chouhan releases “Madhya Pradesh Me Roshan Hoti Rahen”, Uthan Abhiyan booklet

The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan released a booklet “Madhya Pradesh Me Roshan Hoti Rahen” brought out by the Department of Tribal Welfare at Mantrayala here today.

Minister for Tribal Welfare Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister of State for School Education Shri Paras Jain, Chief Secretary Shri Rakesh Sahni, Director Tribal Research Institute Shri V. K. Batham and senior officers were present.

The 17 page -booklet highlights the positive impact of tribal welfare schemes on the stakeholders and also contains information about various schemes.

The Chief Minister also released a booklet giving details about the “Uthan Abhiyan” to be launched from first of September for economic rehabilitation of disabled persons. The booklet has been brought out by the Department of Social Justice. He also released a colour folder giving information about the action plan to be carried out for empowerment of differently able persons.

The Uthan Abhiyan is being launched from the birth anniversary of sage Dadhichi from September One. The special campaign aims at ensuring all round development of disabled persons, helping them start their own employment, and conduct their survey for better socio-economic rehabilitation.

Minister for Social Justice Shri Ram Pal Singh, Minister for Public Relations Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Chief Secretary Shri Rakesh Sahni, Principal Secretary Social Justice Dr. Bhagirath Prasad and senior officers were present.

Over 56 Thousand women get benefits of
     Ayushmati Yojana


Bhopal: Tuesday, August 22, 2006
The State Government has decided to spend Rs. two crore 12 lakh 29 thousand this year under the Ayushmati Yojana. Against this, a budgetary provision of Rs. two crore nine lakh 12 thousand was made under the scheme previous year. Since last year, 56 thousand 589 women and girls have so far been benefited in the state under the scheme.

The Ayushmati Yojana is being carried out in the state to provide free of cost medical facilities to women and girls of landless families living in rural areas of the state. Such women and girls admitted in any district hospital, primary health centre, community health centre upto seven days are provided additional medicines and nutritious diet worth Rs. 400. But, this limit exceeds upto Rs. one thousand if they are admitted for more than seven days. The scheme has been extended to block level now.

Under the Ayushmati Yojana, so far 11 thousand 625 beneficiaries have been benefited with an expenditure of Rs. 44 lakh 46 thousand this year.

Three crore 94 lakh saplings planted under
    Hariyali Mahotsava


One crore 34 lakh saplings planted in one day

With a view to making the environment pollution free and to bringing more area under green cover, a total of three crore 94 lakh saplings were planted during the Hariyali Mahotsava observed in Madhya Pradesh from July 25 to August 12. Of these, as many as two crore 60 lakh saplings were planted across the state till August 11. One of the important highlights of the Hariyali Mahotsava is that saplings numbering one crore 34 lakh were planted in a single day i.e. August 11. Of the saplings planted during the Mahotsava, alone the Rural Development Department contributed significantly planting as many as one crore 84 lakh saplings. Moreover, under the Hariyali Mahotsava, a target has been set to plant a total of six crore saplings by the end of the current rainy season.

As per the information received from the Rural Development Department, the Forest Department carried out plantation of three crore 43 lakh 98 thousand 124 saplings, Horticulture Department one crore 37 lakh 795 saplings, Urban Administration and Development Department nine lakh two thousand 520 saplings and the Panchayat and Rural Development Department planted one crore 84 lakh 16 thousand 764 saplings under the campaign till August 11.

Similarly, under the Hariyali Mahotsava, Jabalpur division registered plantation of 85 lakh 33 thousand 380 saplings, Gwalior division 18 lakh 41 thousand 848, Rewa division 52 lakh 11 thousand 771 saplings, Chambal division seven lakh 36 thousand 947saplings, Sagar division 13 lakh 46 thousand 444 saplings, Indore division 25 lakh 65 thousand 532 saplings, Ujjain division 18 lakh 51 thousand 941 saplings, Bhopal division 32 lakh 23 thousand 653 saplings and finally the Hoshangabad division registered plantation of seven lakh 38 thousand 109 saplings.
