| Sir, Every Indian is proud of the chess wizard Vishwanathan Anand, when he created a history at Bonn by retaining the World Chess Championship against the Russian challenger Valadimir Kramnik and winning the title by 6.5-4.5. The King of 64 squares showed his supremacy by scoring a comprehensive win over his arch rival. In a career spanning over two decades, the towering phenomenon that is Anand has displayed tremendous resilience and perseverance. He has ended the dominance of the Ks of Russia. Unmatched consistency, absolute mastery and total involvement have been the hallmark of this 39-year-old champion during a career spanning 25 years.
